Ross Sciara, DO

Ross A. Sciara, DO, is president of the Kansas City University Alumni Association and a member of the KCU Board of Trustees. Dr. Sciara earned his Bachelor of Science from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri, and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University in 1971. He completed his internship at Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio.

Dr. Sciara was board certified in Family Practice and practiced in Lawrence, Kansas, for 27 years. After closing his practice in Lawrence, he was the medical director at the Jackson County Detention Center in Kansas City for three years and medical director of Clay, Platte, Buchanan, DeKalb, Caldwell and Davies counties in Missouri until 2016.
